Biography
I was born on September 4th, 1984 in London, Ontario, Canada – I was fortunate to have grown up in a highly creative family, and to have been exposed to some wonderful music. I was introduced to the drums at a young age, as my father was a long time player. Growing up I would play along to The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Peter Gabriel and many others by sitting on my his lap, as reaching the pedals was an impossibility. But as I grew older (and taller) I came to discover I not only had a passion for playing music, but for recording it as well. I became fascinated by the art of capturing a performance, and of using one’s own emotions and vision to produce something inspiring. A few years later I realized that I wanted to do one thing – record, mix and produce wonderful music, crafted by talented people.
In the fall of 2005, I entered into Fanshawe College’s historic Music Industry Arts program. There I received my formal education, and had both the honour and privilege to study under iconic producer Jack Richardson, as well as Juno winning engineer Kevin Doyle. I met many amazing people, lost more sleep than I care to remember, and gained some knowledge along the way.
In the fall of 2009, after residing in Southwestern Ontario all my life, relocated to the east coast where I continued to freelance in addition to working as a staff engineer/producer for TriMedia Atlantic in Moncton, NB. The fall of 2010 saw me move again, this time back to Toronto, ON where I now reside and work.
